Salif Port

Location:

Al-Salif Port is located at latitude 7/15 north and longitude 40/42 east in the northwest of the city of Hodeidah, and is approximately 60 linear kilometers away from it, equivalent to 32 nautical miles. The port and the village of Al-Salif are located on a salt mine of approximately Twenty million tons, according to biological estimates, as salt was exported from this mine.

The total area of the inner sanctuary, which is bounded by a wall, is approximately 808,989 square meters up to the outer gate.

The importance and privileges of Salif Port:

- It has great depths of up to 50 feet, so that it can receive giant ships with a maximum capacity of 55,000 tons, and no more than that is allowed.
- Kamaran Island is naturally protected from waves and forms a safe landing area
- Its suitability to receive transit goods.
